I am an experienced counsellor with over 2,500 post-qualification hours gained through working in the NHS, voluntary sector and in private practice. I am an Accredited member of the BACP.
I have considerable experience of working with people who have experienced trauma including childhood abuse, domestic violence, sexual assault, including working with PTSD. In addition I work with issues such as depression, anxiety, bereavement and loss, self- esteem, relationship issues, and work-related problems.
My core approach is person-centred, but I work in an integrative way. I have completed further training in trauma and work within the 3 stage trauma model to provide safe trauma therapy.
I welcome working with clients from diverse backgrounds and different cultures, sexual and gender minorities and people with health issues and disabilities.
My usual fees are £45 per 50 minute session. I offer a no-obligation 50 minute initial session, which is an opportunity to meet me and explore a little if the therapy I offer is right for you. There is nothing to pay on the day. If you decide you would like us to start working together I’ll ask you to pay for the initial session when you pay for your first counselling session.
I offer a limited number of spaces at a reduced rate of £25 per session for clients who are on a low income or means-tested benefits.Tags: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Integrative Therapy, Person Centred Counselling, Psychotherapy Posted by
