I offer remote therapy using EMDR (eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing). EMDR is an effective and recommended (NICE) treatment for PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder).
EMDR has also been found through research to be very helpful in treating depression and many of the anxiety disorders including phobias. If you feel that the past is impacting you in present situations, then EMDR may be helpful to resolve this.
I am an accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist (British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapists). I have worked extensively in the NHS and in private practice.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy is an evidence-based treatment for depression and anxiety disorders (general anxiety, panic, OCD, health anxiety, phobia). This is a collaborative therapy which involves addressing the negative beliefs underlying the issue, and changing behaviours that are maintaining the problem.
I have been practicing and teaching Mindfulness for over a decade. In the NHS I ran MBCT (Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy) courses, which was very helpful for people experiencing recurrent depression. Whilst not currently teaching, my psychotherapy practice is very much informed with mindfulness. If interested in booking me as a facilitator in your community group to teach this 8-week programme please do get in touch.
Interested clients – please send me an email so that we can arrange a brief consultation to establish how EMDR or indeed, CBT may be helpful/ suitable for you.
Please note that I do not work with children; my client base is aged 18+. I do not work with eating disorders or addictions.
Fees are £70 per session for remote therapy via video conferencing.
